A very windy day.
This will be one of my shorter updates as this was probably one of my least eventful days to date. Not necessarily a bad thing, but just the way it is. The high winds that were forecast for today arrived on schedule through the night and continued all day. Very high winds. There would be no flying on this day. I suppose it would’ve been technically possible to fly today, but it wouldn’t have been any fun. With this much wind it’s pretty likely that I would’ve been flying backwards – yes, that’s possible. And as I said, not fun.
Halloween did not go by without M&Ms.
Instead of flying, most of the day was once again spent trying to be productive on my computer. An endeavour that was moderately successful. And based on the forecast, it sounds like tomorrow will be much like today – a bit less wind, but still not great for flying. Oh, did I mention it was cold today? Those glorious 28C (82F) days of just a couple of days ago have disappeared and been replaced with very chilly temperatures. I’m actually sitting inside the clubhouse at the moment wearing a jacket and toque. Sigh. Oh well. First world problems.
For tonight, my big plan is to return to my tent, get into my sleeping bag, and try to stay warm until morning. And maybe enjoy a few M&Ms along the way. Ok, I’ll definitely enjoy some M&Ms along the way.
