Another milestone

Another 100,000 km in the books!

Another 100,000 km in the books!

Armed with a new set of tires and a full tank of gas I braved the hordes of cars on the 400 and headed up to cottage country. Despite leaving Toronto an hour later than planned, traffic was surprisingly manageable and I made it up to Bay Lake in about 2.5 hours. The big milestone of the adventure though didn’t come until the way home. At about 40 km outside of Toronto the odometer transitioned across the 200,000 km threshold – a mere 3,223 days since crossing the 100,000 km threshold. The second 100,000 km took 3 years and 10 months longer than the first 100,000 km as much of my driving is now limited to road trips which happen far too infrequently. Although, that too is about to change – but the car will be left behind for the next one. Details to follow (no, really. I mean it) Stay tuned …
