Day Two Update

I say stupid things. Perhaps that really doesn’t come as a surprise but it’s true. I’ve said before that one thing I tend to seek out from my vacations is total exhaustion. Perhaps total exhaustion was more appealing in my youth, but in my not-quite-so-youthful (and significantly out-of-shape) state I have to say it’s just plain exhausting!

Anyway, on with today’s update. My navigational issues were significantly reduced today (although not eliminated); however, they were replaced by tire inflational issues. So much for puncture proof tires! Actually, considering this is the first flat tire I’ve had in over 4,000km I think that’s pretty good. So, after spending about 20 minutes on the side of the road patching the hole I was back in action.

The funny thing is today was supposed to be an easy day of about 50km, but I opted to take a detour and when it was all over I ended up going about 120km.

Whatever will tomorrow bring?
