No News Is Good News, Right?

Nice place to stay. Until the internet died.

As mentioned yesterday, today was a planned non-travel day. Not planned far in advance, but planned as of yesterday. That’s still counts as a plan. As a result, there really isn’t much to report today. I spent most of the day in my hotel room working on a couple of different projects. The details aren’t really important.

I did manage to get outside briefly around 2:30 and was greeted by a beautiful sunny day. Apparently it went up to 27C degrees (that’s 80F). It certainly felt like that when I was out there. However, there was work to do so, after briefly basking in the sun’s rays, I returned to my room.

DSC06919_DinnerMy next escape for the day was a return trip to the Crazy Buffet & Grill. I mean, it worked out pretty well yesterday. And it was good again today. Although, I think I got more enjoyment from the fact that I could walk outside at 6:30 wearing shorts and a t-shirt. This is how October should be!

The highlight of the day – other than the weather – came on the walk home when I noticed a beautiful full moon, still very low on the horizon. It looked fantastic. Sadly, my camera doesn’t have a “Cool Moon” filter so I couldn’t really capture the true beauty of it. Cameras are funny that way. Well, mine is.

A very cool moon. Although, that's not particularly evident in this photo.

As I type this, I’m waiting for WiFi service to be re-established. Sooner rather than later would be nice. Of course, if you’re reading this then the chances are good it has in fact been re-established in a timely manner – unless of course you’re reading this late in the day on Thursday (or later). If that’s the case then we could have a problem.

While I need WiFi for these blog updates, I also need it for the work I’ve been doing today. And, due to unforeseen (although suspected) circumstances, I will staying yet another night in Chesapeake to finish off work that couldn’t be completed today. Again, the details aren’t important. Bottom line is that, if all goes well, I should be back on the bike on Friday.
