This Will Be VERY Brief

For those following my updates on Instagram, you know I made it to Africa – almost a week ago. Last Wednesday to be exact. The time has gone so fast since then. The WiFi has been significantly slower! I’ll keep this update brief and punctuate it with a rather large selection of photos.

Quick summary:

  • Qatar Airways was a VERY pleasant experience – 20+ hours in the air was borderline enjoyable.
  • Gear and luggage arrived in one piece – including the drone.
  • Spent two days doing safaris in Tanzania at Lake Manyara and the Ngorongoro Crater. The latter marks the first time I’ve returned to a previous vacation destination (non-North American vacation, that is).
  • Since returning to Kenya, we’ve been organizing gear and getting ready to get to work – including testing the aforementioned drone.
  • We’ll be heading to Wote to start work on the documentary tomorrow.
  • Not sure what my WiFi access will be like once I get to Wote. If it’s like last year, it will be pretty limited.

As for the photos … this gallery is from Day One of the safari. I haven’t had a chance to sort through the 370 photos I took on Day Two. Yeah. 370. I wish I was kidding.
