Current Events (August 6)

Attempts to keep up to date with these updates continues to be a struggle. Clearly. I was hoping to get a few more updates posted before tomorrow (Sunday) but it’s now 11:30 PM so I don’t see that happening. My apologies.

As a result, I’m jumping ahead to the present to post this update. Yes, the updates for August 3rd through 6th are still coming but they will be delayed a bit longer. At the moment I’m in a hotel in Amsterdam. Right next to Schiphol Airport. And in about 8 hours I’ll be heading to Schiphol Airport to catch a flight to Kenya. I’ll post more details later but the short version is that I’m flying to Nairobi with my friend Gage (from Philadelphia) to work on a potential documentary project. I’m not sure what sort of internet access I’ll have but I’ll do my best to post a few updates from Africa – plus get caught up on my last days in England and my ride to Amsterdam. But we’ll see how that works out.

More details on the journey from Cambridge to Amsterdam will follow. But not tonight.
