Blog Blog Blog (July 18th)

Today there was but one goal. Blog updates. And a lot of them. Remarkably, at the start of the day I found myself over a week behind. Of course, by the time this is being read I’d like to think that I will only be a couple of days behind.

Home base for the day.

Home base for the day.

As would be expected on such a day, there isn’t a whole lot of activity to report today. I wrote. And wrote. And edited photos. And wrote some more. On the upside, this was done at a table that looked out onto the streets of Stirling so I at least had some exposure to the outside world. Of course, the one day I commit to staying inside ends up being one of the nicest weather days thus far. While this morning started out a bit overcast, most of today was sunny and actually warm. Genuinely warm. Mid-20s (Celsius, of course).

Despite the beautiful weather, I remained committed to the task at hand. I mean, it’s not like I’m unable to sit and concentrate on a task for more than 10 minutes at a time. That said, I managed to get five updates finished and posted – although, I didn’t publish them all at once. I figured out how to schedule the actual publishing of the posts so that a new post appeared every 5-6 hours.

With the backlog greatly reduced, I wasn’t about to let the beautiful weather pass me by completely. So, with serious progress made on the blog I opted to head out and enjoy some of the weather and see at least a bit of Stirling. Spoiler Alert: That was a good idea.

It was rather late in the day when I started my walk so most of the tourist attractions, like Stirling Castle, were closed. However, there was still a lot of beautiful scenery. And the weather continued to be sunny and warm (maybe even very warm) as I wandered the city. I didn’t even need a jacket. And I ALWAYS need a jacket. And while I certainly didn’t get a chance to see all (or even most) of Stirling, I very much enjoyed what I saw.
