A Day of Recovery
This will be a VERY brief update as it would seem yesterday’s long, windy ride to Halifax took a larger toll on me than I expected. After pushing through nearly 9 hours on the bike I was pretty much out of commission today. Literally. I felt terrible and slept most of the day away. And, to add to the misery, there were no chocolate popsicles to be found. Oh, the humanity!
Lesson of the day: Fluids, Fluids, Fluids. And Food. They’re very important.
The good news is that it only took 4,200 km for me to learn my lesson.
As a result of being out of action yesterday I’m going to spend Friday in Halifax to explore the city which I didn’t get to see yesterday. Hopefully that will lead to a better update than this one.
