Early morning update

Normally I don’t write anything first thing in the morning because, well … I’m generally not very coherent in the morning and I’m too busy packing things up to hit the road again. And both are probably true this morning. However, I still just can’t get over the placement of my campsite. After taking an early siesta last night I woke around midnight to see the full-ish moon rising over the river. The water levels had retreated and it was very peaceful. I tried (not particularly successful) to take some photos but gave up after the mosquitos discovered my presence – don’t they ever sleep?

The tide is back in this morning so my alarm clock was the sound of small waves rolling in off the river. The sun is up and it’s another beautiful day. I don’t know what the forecast is but it looks promising at the moment.
Did I mention I REALLY liked this site?

I’m not sure if I’ll go all the way to Baie-Comeau today. It’s another 100km which should be doable but I also need to stop to refresh my food supplies. There are no restaurants readily available at this campsite so I ate most of my remaining food last night. I also need to find a WiFi connection to get this blog updated.

I don’t really want to leave this site but I guess it’s time to move on again (cue “The Littlest Hobo” theme).
