Day Twelve

Ok… I popped in another dollar to try to get caught up…

So, I didn’t head to Nelson at the crack of dawn this morning. Instead I did a three hour hike to a local lookout spot, stopping at a couple of waterfalls along the way. I was back on the road around 2:30pm heading for either Westport or Murchison – it ended up being the latter which turned out to be a really good choice. The campsite is BEAUTIFUL – although the bees are HUGE and numerous, perhaps it’s the heat as it got up to 32 degrees today :)

The river beside the campsite is stunning and the water is SO clear. I waas actually tempted to go for a swim – ME! Swimming! Of course, I didn’t but the fact that I even considered it is pretty significant.

(insert time passes transition)

So, I just spent the last 20 minutes staring up at the stars. What a view.

The plan for tomorrow is to head to Westport – we’ll see if that actually happens.
